Area Sales Manager – Capital Equipment – Manchester – SU/IM301 

Salary / benefits: negotiable depend on experience c£50k base, plus OTE

Job Outline:

A leading specialist in Thin Film and Optical Technologies is now looking for an additional Area Sales Manager, to manage their Capital Equipment sales in Northern Europe.

Working from my client’s offices in Manchester, you will be required to manage and develop existing customer accounts and identify and nurture new business opportunities.

The role will involve regular travel within Benelux and Scandinavia to visit customers and attend conferences and exhibitions.

You will be responsible for pre and post-sale customer support as well as providing customers with sales literature, pricing, technical specifications and following up on these activities.

Working with a diverse range of customers you will work closely with both internal and external sales, as well as maintaining up-to-date product and sales information on the company’s systems and other media.

Within the role, you will be actively visiting customers to discuss both technical and pricing information as well as to demonstrate and pro-actively sell products.

To succeed you will be a motivated, proactive Sales professional, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be enthusiastic to meet and exceed agreed sales targets.

A background in Photonics, Optics, Lasers or similar is essential.

Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally with a full valid driving licence and valid passport is essential.

Qualifications:

As the successful candidate you will be qualified to a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a Physics or Engineering Discipline.

Experience:

Ideally you will have a proven track record in selling Capital Equipment into Precision Optics, Opthalmic, Automotive Lighting, Glass Packaging and similar industries.

Additional Information: 

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK.  Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.

Due to the travel requirements, to visit customers, attend exhibitions etc, you MUST hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
