Job Outline:

Owing to a period of successful growth a market leader in the development of Opto-Electronic Products now requires 3 Process Engineers to support the development of new and existing manufacturing processes.

Working within an NPI environment, you will be responsible for the supporting documentation, equipment and procedures; documenting manufacturing methods, tooling and fixture needs.

Through the development and deployment of processes, fixtures and tooling required for assembly tasks, you will identify improvements and apply change management.

You will investigate production and process issues, and provide support to key personnel, deploying best practices in terms of process yields, process times and process profitability.

Working with all stages of the product life cycle you will review all manufacturing processes and methods.

You will identify and highlight project risks and solutions; conduct Design Reviews and support Business Systems to support the development and improvement of Processes.

This is a key role within the NPI Development, and therefore you will be required to identify key stakeholders and work closely with all parties, both internal to the organisation and external, such as suppliers and end customers.


Ideally you will be qualified to at least Degree level in a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Discipline, or similar, and have experience in an NPI Process Development role. 


You will have previous experience in a similar role in an NPI environment, developing Processes, and Control Maps.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience or an awareness of glass machining, thin film coatings, metal machining, and plating and precision engineering.

Ideally you will have experience working in LEAN Manufacturing environment and be familiar with Six Sigma methodologies.
