Quality Engineer – Electronic Manufacturing – Oxfordshire – ME/IM278

Salary / benefits: up to c£45k plus car plus benefits

Job Term: Permanent / Full Time

 Job Outline: 

A leading manufacturer of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment is now looking for an experienced Quality Engineer, to support to all departments to drive continuous improvements across all aspects of Quality.

You will be responsible for managing all quality aspects within the Supply Chain and leading the development of Supplier Performance Quality within the manufacturing environment.

Your key priority is to ensure the supply chain is fit for purpose and meets the requirements of both external and internal stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include product and company certifications, legal compliance and customer satisfaction.

Using problem-solving tools you will ensure the NCR CAPA process are identified and act on Root Causes.

You will also be responsible for all aspects of supplier quality including monthly non-conformance meetings, quarterly reviews, supplier audits, non conformance issues.

Using data analysis you will drive continuous improvement and deliver improved quality, delivery and cost savings to the business.

Working closely with Research and Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations you will represent quality with all New Product Introduction activities.

You will monitor the Supply Base quality levels on an ongoing and proactive basis; audit existing suppliers and carry out initial suppliers audits for potential new suppliers.

Experience:

You will have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role within an electronics / electromechanical manufacturing environment.

As the successful candidate you will have a proven track record using quality tools and techniques to deliver quality improvements.

You will have strong problem solving skills and experience in delivering Continuous Improvement programmes.

You will hold an ISO9001 Auditor qualification.

Additional Information: 

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of passports / visa will be requested for verification.

You MUST also have a full and current UK driving licence.

Location: Oxfordshire, commutable from Oxford, Abingdon, Didcot, Wantage, Reading Aylesbury, High Wycombe and surrounding areas.
