About Us
Since our formation in 2006 Advanced Technical Recruitment Ltd has been a constantly evolving company.
Initially focussing on the Photonics, Optics and Laser industries, we have grown and diversified to cover a varied range of technical industries.
As we stand today we are actively recruiting in industries including – Photonics, Optics, Laser, Microscopy, Fibre Optics, Telecoms, UHV, L.E.D, Instrumentation, Electronics, I.T., Defence, Biosciences and many more.
We work with a wide range of clients from start-up to blue chip and pride ourselves on providing the best possible recruitment service.
In 2017 we became a member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
Meet the Directors
Iona Mulligan
Director
Iona joined Advanced Technical Recruitment in 2011, bringing with her an Executive MBA, and a long history in External Relations, International Collaboration, European Funding, Marketing and Academia. Iona has focused on introducing new sectors to the portfolio and recruiting for a range of roles.
In her spare time, Iona enjoys Running, Motorsport and keeping fit.
Lee Mulligan
Director
Lee started his career as an Electronics Apprentice with Nortel Networks and spent several years in Telecoms Manufacturing. Lee then moved into Applications Engineering, and latterly spent several years in Technical Sales within the Photonics Industry. Since forming Advanced Technical Recruitment in 2006, he has focused on recruiting for a range of industries and professions.
In his spare time, Lee enjoys Motorsport and Travelling.
Outside of the Office
Outside of office hours, Lee and Iona are both keen motorsport enthusiasts. They are in their 7th year of racing a Fisher Fury in the ASWMC sprint championships, and in June of 2013 they took the first step in to Stage Rallying with their home built and supported Citroen Saxo. Most weekends they can be found at a racetrack somewhere in the south west either racing, supporting or frantically trying to fix their home built and supported car.
