A leading provider of innovative Smart Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 software solutions is now looking for two Applications Engineers.
As an Applications Engineer you will become the primary interface between my client and their customers.
You will be responsible for maintaining an excellent client relationship and for resolving/escalating, any problems/concerns encountered.
Working with a broad range of stakeholders and the other members of the Applications and Software development teams, you will successfully deploy applications to help customers achieve their objectives.
Once installed, you will train end users, support client change management needs, test client requested application changes, and meet project budget and timeline.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in data warehouse development as well as advanced data analysis, data science and analytics.
As an Applications Engineer, you will manage the entire project life cycle by developing and maintaining the schedule to meet project goals, defining clear deliverables, determining what expertise is required, and producing estimates of program/project requirements based on changing client needs.
Qualifications:
Ideally you will have achieved a Master’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science, and been working in semiconductor manufacturing.
Experience:
As the successful Applications Engineer, you will have a strong analytical background, experience in semiconductor manufacturing, familiarity with industrial engineering concepts, and basic knowledge of SQL.
Previous experience managing software development projects is also an advantage.
Although not essential, preference will be given to candidates who have a good knowledge in PL/SQL and Oracle databases, Python and experience managing software development projects.
Ideally you should also have a willingness to work temporary assignments overseas at customer sites.
