Business Systems Engineer – IM3232 FULL TIME, PERMANENT
A market leader in the manufacture of precision photonics equipment used in research and manufacturing is now looking for a Business Systems Engineer to join their UK Head Offices in Cambridgeshire.
Reporting to the IT Manager you will support, develop or deploy line of business systems and IT solutions for all UK office and production departments. Provide second line IT support for servers and databases and assist with first line support where required.
Working closely with the business you will gain an understanding of the processes and their requirements. Then working to a given brief you will propose appropriate solutions.
You will project manage the deployment of new solutions.
Managing the full life support function, you will produce documentation and support documents for the business systems.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Project manage the deployment of new solutions
- Provide documentation and training on our IT systems
- 1st and 2nd line support of business systems, databases and servers
Experience:
You will have at least 5 years experience in 1st and 2nd Line IT Support.
In your previous Systems and Network Support roles you will have gained experience in desktop and server operating systems, IT hardware and Active Directory Principles.
In addition you should have knowledge of SQL, including administration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL server.
You should have some experience with Microsoft 365, including Azure, PowerBI and Power Platforms.
An understanding of general manufacturing business processes is desirable.
