A leading manufacturer of precision engineered components, is now looking for an additional Machinist to join their rapidly growing team in Taunton.
As a Machinist you will be responsible for the planning, layout, set-up, operating and making tool adjustments for a variety of conventional and CNC machines.
Working from drawings, process sheets and sketches, you will be responsible for the cutting of metal to precision dimensions.
Other duties will include identifying and repairing minor machine malfunction or advising maintenance team of any other machine complications.
Ideally you will have experience in a similar machining, or CNC role, within a manufacturing environment, operating machine tools on the shop floor, including Heidenhain, Fanuc and Siemens Control.
Ideally you will also have the ability to use CAD/CAM at a higher level, and edit CNC programmes.
Experience conducting checks on CMM is also advantageous.
Considerable experience in a similar manufacturing environment, time served Apprentice or an ONC in an Engineering discipline preferred.
The role is offered on a rotating shift, with the following working hours, offering a competitive base salary plus 25% shift premium:
Week 1 -Monday to Friday 6am-2pm
Week 2- Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm
