A leading provider of Instrumentation for Photonic Applications is now seeking a Compliance Engineer to join their facility in Cambridgeshire.
As Compliance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring my client’s products meet with international compliance requirements as well as maintaining our external accreditations.
Working in the Quality department, you will work collaboratively with the team of engineers to ensure compliance and safety measures are met from the design phase onwards.
You will work with the engineering team throughout the product and safety approval process to ensure compliance and legislative requirements are met.
You will also co-ordinate compliance related activities (MD, LVD, EMC) for the transfer of new products into production.
You will compile the technical file information and produce UKCA & CE Declaration of Conformity for release.
You will provide support to the Quality Assurance Manager with the maintenance of any external accreditations, and the maintenance of the audit programme to meet the requirements of external accreditations.
As Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of Quality Compliance, including product safety, legislative requirements, ensuring suppliers meet component compliance, documentation, auditing and reporting of findings.
As the successful Compliance Engineer you will have experience of implementing and maintaining ISO standards (9001/ 14001); implementing or maintaining an audit system and auditing to a standards framework.
Also essential for this role is experience of working to the requirements of Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive, EMC Directive.
Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with risk assessment/analysis, Lean manufacturing and tools, Quality Management Systems and have an understanding of the requirements of REACH, RoHS, Declarations of Conformity, CE marking.
Ideally you should hold an Engineering Degree or equivalent level qualification, plus relevant working experience.
