A leading designer and manufacturer research equipment now requires an Electrical Engineer to join their facility in Bristol.
As Electrical Engineer you will be involved in the fault finding, and best practice design of electrical and RF electronics. This will include testing of new components, working with NPI teams and engineering to ensure critical product features requiring test are defined and accompanied with test specifications.
You will support the test document author for content and expertise by defining, implementing and maintaining test schedules and methods.
In addition, you will manage commissioning of cost-effective test equipment, ensuring compatibility with legacy products where practical.
The Electrical Engineer will also train and certify Test Engineers in the correct use of test plans, procedures and equipment.
You will apply statistical process control methods to the outputs from the test cycle and perform trend analysis to inform in continuous improvement initiatives.
Drawing on your experience in test and analysis you will analyse failure reports from the field and final test and modify test points in order to minimise \ eradicate future occurrences.
Candidates with knowledge of RF, will be asked to provide consultative RF design advice for engineering design and project teams.
As Electrical Engineer you will have achieved at least an HNC or equivalent in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or a professional qualification in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
To succeed as Electrical Engineer, you should have a strong understanding of electrical electronic systems, high power electronics and RF systems. Whilst Test experience is preferred, a strong familiarity with RF is acceptable.
Experience in programming/software is preferred (i.e., visual basic / lab view).
