A market leader in the development of tools for the semiconductor industry now requires an Engineering Manager to oversee the Electrical Design Teams.
You will lead and develop a team of professionals, in a growing company with world leading technology. This role gives you a scope to make a big impact.
On a daily basis you will manage the delivery of engineering tasks pertaining to your products. This will include to scope and specify the developments and projects needed to meet the strategic goals.
It is expected you will operate a continuous improvement culture, including embedding Design for Excellence (DfX) principles throughout, improving performance and yield.
As Engineering Manager, you will manage your direct reports, including PDR reviews in accordance with company policies. Individual performance of team members should be regularly reviewed with the other Lead Engineers to ensure parity across the team.
You will assume responsibility for all activities and outputs within your team and are therefore expected to ensure work is in a standard format, complies with company quality, as well as other regulatory and compliance standards.
You will lead and drive forward the continuous improvement of the engineering function through support of the systems engineering team. Maintain the “one team” culture by helping other departments where possible.
Qualifications:
As the successful Engineering Manager, you should have achieved an Engineering Degree.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Postgraduate qualification in Engineering and also have achieved Chartered Engineer.
Experience:
It is essential that you have experience in the design of precision mechanical/electrical systems and mechanisms.
You should also have a broad knowledge of manufacturing techniques and materials with an eye for new ways of applying emerging technologies and full life cycle management.
