A leading manufacturer of electronic fluid and gas sensing instrumentation is now looking for an ERP Programmer and Developer to join their main facility on the outskirts of Glasgow.
An Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system programmer and developer is required to be involved in the management, continuous improvement and integration of our newly implemented ERP System.
The role will involve collaboration with all of the key teams in the factory from sales and marketing, through design, operations, quality, manufacturing, despatch and finance. The candidate will have full ownership of the ERP system development to enhance efficiency and automate business processes.
Your primary duties and responsibilities will include supporting current ERP applications by reviewing, analysing and modifying programming systems and parameters.
You will be required to code, test and debug applications for the various teams that use the ERP system.
Ensuring full integration into the factory operations, you will be expected to integrate other factory software systems to the ERP system database including shop floor data collection and product data from Design Engineering, along with the integration of external systems such as email and website.
Once introduced you will design and develop application grids, forms, queries, workflows and event-based system controls, and create / automate reports and dashboards for use throughout the factory.
Another key responsibility is the maintaining and testing system upgrades and general system management.
You will take full ownership and management of documentation and system specifications.
As the successful ERP Programmer and Developer, you should have a solid understanding of modular ERP systems and their development environments.
Having previously developed and integrated similar ERP systems you should have knowledge of the sales and manufacturing processes.
As the ideal candidate for ERP Programmer and Developer you should have a background in computer science or information systems.
