My client, a leading developer of sensing technology, is currently seeking a Field Engineer to join their growing company.
Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will be responsible for supporting customers on a global basis.
Duties include, the planning and execution of sensing data acquisition, the handling of optical fibres in preparation for data acquisition (stripping, splicing, test etc.), and the coordination of maintenance, troubleshooting and installations at customer sites.
As a Field Engineer, you will also communicate with both the engineering team and customers to ensure customer needs, budgets and timelines are met.
Additionally, you will carry out recommended equipment test and verification procedures, maintaining all project documentation and reports.
The role requires the successful applicant to participate in field installations of fibre optic cable and troubleshooting, on & offshore.
This position is perfect for someone with substantial experience in fibre optic sensing / frequency (ideally in a relevant industry) who is happy with traveling globally.

A minimum of an HND/HNC in an engineering subject or appropriate specialist skills (although for those with extensive experience this can be waived)
Experience with Fibre Optic sensing and knowledge of seismic acquisition/basic data processing would be advantageous, however not essential.
Ideally, candidates should have experience in the energy industry (petroleum, renewable, electrical power, environment, mining, infrastructure) and fibre optics in particular.
This position requires frequent international travel.
Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK.
