Internal Business Development Executive – Optics – Surrey – SO/RC1099

Salary / benefits: DOE £30k – £35k per annum

Job Term: Permanent / Full Time

Job Outline:

My client, a worldwide supplier of optical systems is now seeking a Business Development Executive to support the growth of a new branch of their business.

Currently my client is looking to develop further business in the support and distribution of optical components e.g. optical lenses, beam splitters, mirrors etc.

Based at their site in Surrey, the successful applicant will build up and maintain their customer base, in the optical components industry.

As Business Development Executive, you will close orders with customers, liaise with other business development executives and generate quote requests through contacting customers/potential customers through phone calls, e-mails, customer visits, trade shows, social media and other marketing communication methods.

Responsibilities will include pre-sales, quotation and post-sales support.

The ideal applicant for this role will have a technical understanding of products they will be working with as well as being comfortable achieving targets within a sales environment.

This role is perfect for someone with technical sales experience in the optics, digital or microscopy industries.


A Degree in a relevant subject is preferable, however experience in technical sales is a priority.

Additional Information:

Candidates must be eligible to live and work within the UK and hold all relevant paperwork. Copies of Visas and Passports will be requested.
