A leading manufacturer of Fibre Optic Components and Solutions now requires a Manufacturing Engineer join their growing facility in Suffolk.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the Manufacturing Engineer will support the manufacture of existing products and processes to meet stringent customer expectations of timescales, cost, reliability and support the transfer of new products from Development to Manufacturing.
The Manufacturing Engineer will oversee and provide direct engineering support to the manufacturing team, create and update documentation for the manufacture of products, and assist in the training of all personnel.
You will also support the commissioning and maintenance of existing tooling/ equipment, and where appropriate identify new equipment needs.
Further to these duties, the Manufacturing Engineer will assist in the ongoing reliability testing of all products as well as participating in further problem-solving tasks.
This position is perfect for a hands-on engineer with an inquisitive mindset and a degree in a relevant engineering/science discipline.

Qualifications:
Ideally you will hold a Degree in a Science or Engineering discipline, and have strong analytical, data analysis and presentation skills.
Experience:
As the successful Manufacturing Engineer, you will have at least 1-2 year’s experience working in a high-tech Manufacturing Engineering Environment, ideally involved in the manufacture or production of fibre optic components.
