A leading manufacturer of precision Photonic products is now looking for an additional Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing site in Cambridgeshire.
As an integral part of the Engineering Team, the Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with the Quality, Design and Production teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues. This role supports consistent manufacture of precision electro-mechanical equipment for the photonics industry with the goal of ensuring that production runs smoothly.

To succeed as Manufacturing Engineer, you will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent, and have experience with 2D and 3D CAD systems, i.e. Solidworks.
Having previously worked in a similar Manufacturing or Production Engineering role within a manufacturing environment, you will have the ability to identify and resolve design and assembly problems quickly (good troubleshooting skills).
You should have knowledge of testing techniques for mechanical / electronics products.
Ideally you will have a good understanding of production methods and best practices (lean implementation).
