EFFECT Photonics is a cutting-edge developer of high speed optical transceivers for communication networks based on Photonic Integrated technology. With exciting growth plans for 2019 onwards, we are now looking for enthusiastic and talented individuals to join the growing team.

Job Outline: 

EFFECT Photonics are now looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team in Brixham.

Your primary duties will be to develop new products and processes for low volume prototypes, and next generation production devices.

You will work closely with funded programmes and key partners, to make most effective use of resources and ensure cost reductions.

Whilst developing new processes and improving existing processes, you will document the processes developed.

You will be responsible for all documentation development throughout the product life cycle.

In addition you will conduct PFMEA and Root Cause Analysis to ensure improvements, and reductions in failures.

Another key area of responsibility will be data analysis, of production, yields and processes.

Working closely with Eindhoven and other key partners, you will be involved in all stages of manufacturing methods and designs for the next generation products.

Qualifications: 

As the successful candidate you will be qualified to Degree Level in an Engineering, or Science discipline.

Experience: 

Ideally you will have a proven track record in a similar manufacturing environment, such as photonics, optics, semiconductor, opto-electronics.

Experience gained working in Continuous Improvement, Cost Reduction, NPI, Ramping Production and Manufacturing are preferred.

Additional Information:
