A global manufacturer of research and scientific equipment is now looking for a Mechanical Production Technician at their Bristol manufacturing site.
Joining a growing market leader as Mechanical Production Technician, you will be involved in the assembly build of cutting-edge hi-tech precision products.
Your main duties will include building systems, sub-assemblies and piece parts for complex systems efficiently to the right quality levels and ISO standards, and to achieve build schedules.
You will ensure that the requirements of the BOM and the customer specification are achieved.
Involved at all stages of build, you will identify and resolve build problems, report technical issues and record using the internal processes.
To ensure you maintain high levels of technical competence there will be opportunities to undertake training.
You will also contribute to the performance of the Production Team through continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience:
To succeed as a Mechanical Production Technician, you should be a time-served Mechanical Apprentice, with strong fitting and assembly skills.
You must have worked in a Production Environment. In addition to build of systems, sub systems you will have proven experience in machining, milling, turning, vacuum, pneumatics, stainless steel pipe bending (¼” and ½”).
From your previous production experience you will have a strong ability to read mechanical drawings, fault find and implement corrective actions.
Preference will be given to individuals with previous experience in the semiconductor industry.
Qualifications:
You must be a time-served Mechanical Apprentice, or have achieved a City & Guilds part 3, HND, HNC, or BTEC Level 3. In addition to your studies, you must have proven experience in assembly build of precision engineered equipment.

Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK / Europe and hold a full driving licence. Copies of Passports / Visas will be requested for verification.
Each working week consists of 4 shifts of 8 hours, and one of 5 hours. Further details available when we discuss your application.
