You will be mainly working in an applied production/research environment producing optical devices for commercial sales.
The primary responsibility of the role is to assist with optical production, assembly and characterisation of devices for Product Delivery, and to provide test feedback into Research and Development activities.
The successful Optical Test Engineer will be responsible for the optical characterisation facility which includes lasers, optics and precision alignment in a controlled test environment.
Although primarily an optical assembly, test and problem-solving role, additional familiarity with associated processes for handling of optical materials, such as cleaning, dicing and polishing of optical chips will be an advantage.
