A market leader in the development of equipment used in the manufacture of research and scientific equipment is now looking for a Production Engineer to join their rapidly growing site in Bristol.
This is a new role, which therefore requires an experienced Production or Manufacturing Engineer to provide first line support and diagnosis for operational issues. The outcome will be a faster flow through the factory, reduction in rework, less diversion of Engineering Designers, reduction in errors in Testing, which all impact both positively in terms of increased capacity in the Production space, reduced labour hours and therefore delivery times.
You will also positively influence the engagement of the Production Teams as they have more autonomy to solve issues and maintain manufacturing flow.
The four key areas of responsibility will be Build Standardisation, Issue Resolution, Continuous Improvements and General Manufacturing Engineering.
You will be designated Team Lead for Production Engineering, overseeing all areas of Production, and writing new Procedures.
Ideally you will have gained substantial experience in electro-mechanical systems production engineering environment – preferably small batch, high technology system integration ideally with machining/fabs.
You should also have recent practical experience of mechanical and electrical assembly.
Experience in Lean Methodologies both working with, and implementation would be advantageous.
You must be education to HND or higher in a Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Discipline.
