Owing to a successful period of growth, a leading developer of precision electronics control systems is now looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their Cambridgeshire site.
You will be involved in a wide variety of projects, including designing new and improving existing electronic designs for precision motion control and vibration isolation systems.
You will use concurrent engineering techniques to achieve best possible design solutions.
Based on extensive testing and characterisation activities you will produce detailed specifications of new products.
Collaborating with team members, sub-contractors, suppliers and manufacturing departments you will seek to find root cause and resolution to the problems.
You will ensure Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and Design for Compliance are implemented in the designs.
You will be working collaboratively with other departments to ensure complete knowledge transfer of products into production.
Whilst this is a hands-on design role, you will also support the more junior members of the team during peer reviews and problem solving and support cross-training of the entire team by sharing job knowledge.
As the successful Senior Electronics Engineer you should be qualified to Degree level or equivalent in an Electronics or relevant Engineering discipline, along with experience working at a Senior level in Electronics Engineering and Design.
You should have a proven hands-on experience of electronics product design including digital and analogue.
Analogue design experience should include low noise, high bandwidth amplify design, closed loop design.
Digital design experience should include servo loop design and modelling, control and data acquisition systems.
Experience in embedded software, assembler, C and PCB Layout is also essential.
