My client who is a leading manufacturer of specialist electro-mechanical systems and components, is now looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join their team.
Based at my clients manufacturing facility in Cambridgeshire and reporting to the General Manager, you will take overall leadership for around 200 people associated to my clients manufacturing operation.
You will be managing a multi-talented team covering manufacturing, maintenance, facilities, quality, logistics, stock control and manufacturing engineering.
On a daily basis you will support the manufacturing teams to ensure products are being manufactured to plan, along with driving the continual roll out of LEAN manufacturing best practices and promoting strategies to ensure products are being manufactured correctly and to specification.
Along with promoting and ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety, you will also have the strong people skills required to help, support and manage a growing manufacturing team.
As the successful candidate you should have proven leadership skills in a manufacturing environment along with project management skills, coaching and mentoring skills and experience of LEAN manufacturing (SMED, 5S, TPM, Kanban etc)
