Service and Commissioning Engineer – Brewing – Scotland – SM/RC1146

Salary / benefits: Commensurate with experience, up to c£37k, plus car, benefits, bonus

Job Term: Permanent / Full Time

Job Outline:

A global leader in the manufacture and service of equipment supplied into Brewing and Malting now seeks an additional Service and Commissioning Engineer.

Working from home, you will be required onsite at the customers for the duration of the installation, commissioning or service activity.  From time you will need to attend the offices for meetings and training.

The main focus of your role will be the installation, commissioning and servicing of capital equipment for use in Brewing and Malting Manufacturing.

You will be expected to respond to customer calls, supporting them on the phone to trouble shoot their issues; and going onsite to troubleshoot, perform repairs, machine inspections and maintenance.

The commissioning of new equipment will include applications mapping and adjusting equipment maps to meet customer requirements.

Your support will include, on occasions, simple and complex retrofit actions to meet customer deliverables.

Supporting the customer after installation and commissioning, you will train customer staff, either onsite or in the Training Centre.

Working directly with Customers, you are an ambassador for my client, and are expected to provide efficient and professional onsite service work.

Wherever possible you will review the wear and tear of equipment and identify requirements to promote the sales of spare parts, wear parts upgrades, retrofits and service work

You should ensure all reports, Time Sheets and associated documentation are completed in a timely manner and where necessary are signed by the customer.

Experience:

Ideally you will have at least 3 years’ experience working with high value capital equipment in malting and / or brewing manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment.

Education:

Ideally you will have at least an HNC or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical / Mechanical Engineer, or similar, and have worked in a similar service engineering role.

Additional Information:

Candidates MUST have a Full Clean UK driving licence.

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested.
