Service Engineer – IM3063 FULL TIME, PERMANENT
A leading manufacturer of Fume Cupboards now requires an experienced Service Engineer to take responsibility for the installation, commissioning, servicing and repairing of fume cupboards / laminar flow cabinets.
Working from your home, this is a field-based role, where you will support customers in the Northern Home Counties. The aim is for you to return home most evenings, although there will be occasions where you are working on an installation which requires you to stay overnight.
Initially you will be working alongside another Engineer. Once fully trained you will work mainly on your own, and with other colleagues as required.
In addition to Service and Installation of Fume Cupboards/Laminar Flow Cabinets and LEV systems, you will also be installing new equipment including ductwork (PVC/Polypropylene).
You will also provide post-installation training for customers and perform on-site risk assessments.

Qualifications:
As the successful Service Engineer you should hold at least an NVQ in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or similar.
A recognised Electrical qualification such as 16th/17th/18th Edition Electrical is preferred, though not essential.
Experience:
As the experienced Service Engineer you must have at least 3 years’ experience testing, servicing and installing fume cupboards, safety cabinets, laminar flow cabinets and LEVs.
Your experience must include installing new equipment such as PVC / Polypropylene Ducting and welding.
Additional Information:
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Passport and Visa will be requested for verification.
Candidates MUST hold a full clean driving licence and be able to pass Enhanced DBS & Police Authority Checks.
