Signal Processing Engineer – Sensing – Hertfordshire – EO/RC1234

Salary – £30k – £40k per annum, DOE

Job Term: Permanent / Full Time

Job Outline:

My client, a leading developer of optical fibre sensors, is currently searching for a Signal Processing Engineer to join their expanding team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic engineer with experience in data/signal processing.

As the Signal Processing Engineer, you will be responsible for the analysis of datasets, extraction of key information, the preparation of reports and presentation of results.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for the investigation, development and application of new processing methods.

Further duties include the planning and performing of test measurements, as well as the delivery of training, demonstrations and technical support to clients. Therefore, a willingness to travel to client sites is a must for this position.

This opportunity is perfect for someone with an inquisitive mindset and experience using MATLAB, python or similar for data processing.

Ideally a degree in a relevant subject, however this is not essential to the position.


Proficiency with MATLAB and/or Python and a strong digital signal processing background is preferable.

A good understanding of signal processing techniques (preferably applied to acoustics, image processing, seismic datasets)

Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Have proven problem solving and analysis ability.
