Software Engineer – Instrumentation – Bedfordshire – EM/DS1274

Salary / benefits: Negotiable (dependent upon experience)

Job Outline:

A world leading design and manufacturer of test and measurement systems are now looking for a Software Engineer to join their expanding team.

The role is for a practised Software Engineer with experience of C++ or C# for developing new and existing software packages which control high precision instrumentation.

Working alongside the Senior Software Engineer you will be involved in all stages of product development, working on new and existing products.

Your main responsibilities will be the design, development, commissioning, and control of software programs. You will produce and maintain accurate product specifications, technical notes and documentation.

In addition, you will ensure product design is effectively managed and carry out accurate application testing and risk analysis.


Ideally you will be qualified to at least HNC/HND level in an Engineering discipline and a recognised software qualification.

You will also have experience in a Product Development environment.  

Significant commercial development experience will be considered in place of academic qualifications.


You should have a proven track record in developing software programs from first principals, modifying existing software codes and scripting experience.

Ideally you will have been in a similar commercial environment developing company and product software, ideally for precision instruments.

Additional Information:

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested.

Candidates MUST have a Full Clean UK driving licence and own car.
