A leading developer of optical imaging systems now seeks a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join their growing team.
You will be working on Analog Designs, Power Supply circuits design for the Mass Spectrometry industry in the areas of Residual Gas analysis, Surface science, plasma science and Langmuir Probes.
Drawing on your proven Analog Design experience, and your understandings of mass spectrometer, you will be expected to design at a high level.
Another key responsibility is transistor level circuit design including DAC high voltage control, discrete amplifier design, control of feedback loops with error amplifiers, RF energy recovery, voltage regulation, current limiting, voltage mixing and power amps using class A,B,C and D.
Further you will design AC-DC & DC-DC SMPS power supplies, all voltages range from 24V to -1K/+1K (transformer) design and control of high voltage modules (up to +- 10kV). Control of voltages and monitoring of power levels in switching circuits. Generation, monitoring and control of current regulation.
This is a Senior Design role and will best suit someone who has previously designed imaging and spectrometry equipment at a higher level.
To succeed as Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you will have over 10 years industrial design experience, including solid industry Analog design and verification experience and hands-on practical knowledge.
Additional experience required for this role:
As the successful Electronics Design Engineer, you will have achieved a good Degree in Electronics, Engineering or another relevant discipline.
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of passport and visa will be requested for verification.
Skills: Electronics, Analog, Digital, Transistor, Power Supply, RF, Test, Circuit, PCB, Linux.
