My client, a specialist in vacuum and automation technology, is now seeking an innovative Control System Engineer to join their growing team in Cambridge.
Utilising your experience in electrical engineering, you will join a team of electrical, mechanical and software designers, working on a variety of projects from the semiconductor to the food and automotive industries.
Responsibilities include the design, programming, testing and commissioning of control systems, ranging from small bespoke control panels to robot pick and place cells.

The successful candidate will be a qualified electrician with 18th edition or electrical and electronics engineer to minimum ONC.
You will also have a proven track record in designing, programming, testing and commissioning control systems, as well as a working knowledge of programming PLC’s, HMI’s and SCADA systems.
Applicants should also have an understanding of communication networks, including Ethernet, EthernetIP, EtherCAT, DeviceNet and ProfiNet.
Ideally, you will have experience with robot and motion systems, machine vision and experience in AutoCAD or Solidworks (desirable).
This position will involve frequent travel within the UK and occasional travel worldwide.
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK.
Candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
