A leading manufacturer of medical imaging equipment is now looking for a Technical Support Engineer.
As Technical Support Engineer you will provide customer and service support at all stages of the sales process, including presales, post sales, maintenance and servicing.
Whilst in the office, you will provide 1st Line Support, responding to customer enquiries and technical support issues via phone and email.
You will also provide 2nd Line Support to Engineers site visits, to resolve system faults, and scheduled Maintenance.
Pre-Sales activities will include in-house customer demonstrations and also providing on-site product demonstrations.
You will also visit customer sites for installations, in-house customer training, fault finding, maintenance, repairs and servicing requirements.
Working with the Sales team, you will identify potential customer upgrade opportunities.
As the successful Technical Support Engineer, you will have at least 2 years’ experience in service, repair and fault finding of optical imaging equipment. you should have good knowledge of electronics together with experience of scientific imaging technologies and/or opto-electronics.
Ideally you will hold an HND Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or higher, and have an Engineering qualification, and a familiarity with opto-electronic, optical or digital imagining systems. Knowledge of Digital Pathology is preferred, but not essential.
In order to visit customers, it is essential that you hold a full, clean UK Driving License.
Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK. Copies of Passports and/or Visas will be requested for verification.
