A leading manufacturer of medical imaging equipment is now looking for a Technical Support Engineer.
As Technical Support Engineer you will provide customer and service support at all stages of the sales process, including presales, post sales, delivery and training.
Whilst in the office, you will provide 1st Line Support, responding to customer enquiries and technical support issues via phone and email.
You will also provide 2nd Line Support visiting customers sites to resolve system faults and scheduled preventative maintenance and scheduled upgrades.
Pre-Sales activities will include in-house customer demonstrations, on-site product demonstrations, and managing the test demo units.
You will also liaise with the Engineers to provide advice on potential upgrades.
Taking delivery of new systems from the parent site, you will build the IT aspects of the system and test inhouse prior to customer delivery. You will then visit customer sites to commission their newly purchased equipment and provide customer training.
As the successful Technical Support Engineer you should have a sound knowledge of electronics and experience with optical imaging equipment and/or opto-electronics, in order to provide support to customers and engineers in the use of, and fault finding of issues with the equipment.
Ideally you will hold an HND Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or higher, and have an Engineering qualification, and a familiarity with opto-electronic, optical or digital imagining systems. Knowledge of Digital Pathology is preferred, but not essential.
Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK. Copies of Passports and / or Visas will be requested for verification.
Customer visits are key to this role; hence it is essential that you hold a full, clean UK Driving License.
