A leading developer of optical components, is now seeking an additional Technician.
Working at their site in Taunton, you will be working from engineering drawings, manuals and work instructions to assembly components.
As part of the Optical Team you will contribute to the successful manufacture of high quality and precision optical components.
You will work with a range of manual and automated tools, to assemble the components.
During the manufacturing processes, you will use metrology tools to measure the optical components.
You will be required to complete component assembly to the agreed build times, as required, and enter the required build information into the manufacturing database.
To succeed as Technician, you will have 1-2 years relevant experience, which you will have gained working in a similar assembly role, working from engineering drawings.
As the successful Technician, you should be a time served Apprentice, or equivalent, and have achieved 5 GCSEs level C or above.
Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK. Copies of Passport and Visa will be requested for verification purposes.
Shift Pattern: You must be willing and able to work required shift patterns and have the flexibility to work outside of core hours on occasions in support of business needs.
