This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Test Team delivering fully tested high-tech, cutting edge products. You will develop new capabilities and work on some of the most complex system configurations. For this role you will need a strong engineering background and a high level of technical skills and knowledge.
You will deliver a fully functional tested product, strictly following the test procedures.
It is expected that you will take ownership for the product allocated to you and proactively seek resolution of any issues. Including ensuring test procedures are strictly and efficiently adhered to and that all documentation is fully completed, accurately supports test results, and signed off.
You will drive improved product quality through data capture (FRACAS), ensuring faults are accurately reported and provide adequate detail to support analysis and effective corrective action.
Proactively support the Test Team Leader to achieve on time delivery against manufacturing plan.
Following the company LEAN and CI procedures you will support initiatives to improve quality, Health & Safety, build / test cleanliness and 5S and actively promote 5S principles within the test department.
Working with key staff and customers you will support customer pre acceptance visits.
Occasionally you may be required from time to time to visit customers sites to support install /commissioning of systems.
You will be employed to work on a rotating shift pattern. Each working week consists of 4 shifts of 8 hours and one of 5 hours. Currently the shifts are Early (starting at 06:00hrs) and Afternoon (starting at 14:00hrs).
As the successful Test Technician / Engineer you will be a time served Electrical Apprentice or hold a City and Guilds part 3 / HND, HNC, or BTech level 3 (Electrical).
The successful Test Tech / Engineer should have experience working with Vacuum and/or RF, Test and Test development, and fault finding.
Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK / Europe and hold a full driving licence. Copies of Passports / Visas will be requested for verification.
You will be employed to work on a rotating shift pattern. Each working week consists of 4 shifts of 8 hours and one of 5 hours as detailed above.
