A leading service and equipment supplier of specialist scientific instrumentation is now looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team based near to Cambridge.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will take responsibility for providing field support for my client’s equipment across the UK and Ireland.
This will include installation, repair, upgrades, and preventative maintenance along with workshop/show support and delivery/removal of equipment.
On a daily basis you will be supporting clients by diagnosing errors or technical problems, both on site and via phone/email.
You will maintain accurate inventory reports as well as producing timely and detailed service reports.
The role will involve extensive travel to customer sites. When not travelling you will be supporting service-related work from my clients facility near Cambridge.
The successful candidate will have a mixture of Electronic and Mechanical service skills and be able to read technical diagrams and diagnose faults.
It is essential that you have previous experience in a similar Field Service role.
